Back in March 2025, I walked into the Wills & Probate team wondering if I’d remember everyone’s names… never mind learn all the legal terminology!
Before this, my life revolved around school runs, packed lunches, and working around school hours. I was convinced I had it all figured out… until I discovered there was a whole new challenge waiting for me.
Fast forward to now, and I can honestly say I’ve found a job I genuinely love. I’ve somehow gone from asking, “Can you just explain that one more time?” to feeling more confident every day (although I still ask the odd question, turns out that’s how you learn!).
The biggest surprise has been how quickly I felt part of the team. Everyone welcomed me from day one, and it’s made such a difference. Having people who are patient, supportive, and don’t mind my occasional “I’ve definitely overthought this!” moments has helped my confidence grow more than I ever imagined.
Who knew stepping out of my comfort zone would be so rewarding? I’m still learning every single day, but that’s become my favourite part. It just goes to show that being “just a mom” was never the whole story, it was simply preparing me for my next chapter.
Here’s to continuing to learn, laugh, grow in confidence, and seeing where this journey takes me. (And maybe one day understanding all the legal jargon without having to Google it first!)
